We continue our group affirmation process with the 27th Psalm.
Verse: Psalm 27:3 — Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
Affirmation: God is my salvation. I will trust Him and not be afraid.
Life Application: Examine your worst bad habit. Ask God to give you the strength and desire to change.
We all go through times in our lives when everything seems to be going wrong; when we feel all alone as we are forced to face so many issues – one seemingly more overbearing than the last. But God has given us the spirit of perseverance and we press on. It is during these times that we need to examine ourselves and our decision making processes. And, when we really examine ourselves, ofttimes we find that a lot of our difficulties have their roots in decisions that we have made in the past. That is why we must turn to God. God IS my salvation. I MUST trust Him and not be afraid. We need to examine our bad habits; habits that have led to past indiscretions that currently influence our lives. Ask God to help you by giving you the strength and desire to change your bad habits and to help you make better decisions which will lead to a better ability to handle whatever life may present.
Faith is the SUBSTANCE of things HOPED FOR; the EVIDENCE of things UNSEEN.
